Welcome to Day 437 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.
This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to Wisdom
Build Each Other Up – Wisdom Unplugged
Thank you for joining us for our 5 days per week wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is Day 437 of our trek, and it is Thursday and time for our 2-3 minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom each Tuesday and Thursday. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Marian Anderson who says, “As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might.”
There are some individuals that feel they need to restrict others from moving forward so that they can excel themselves. This is based on a scarcity mentality where you feel there is a limited amount of resources. We need to turn this upside down with an abundance mentality. The only way to improve and advance yourself is by helping others to grow and prosper also.
A kernel of corn will only produce an abundance of harvest when it is willing to give up its current life so that new life will grow as a result. The more kernels planted, the larger the harvest. Always be planting and helping others to plant so that together the harvest will be in great abundance. As we are reminded in 2 Thessalonians 5:11, “So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
That’s a wrap for today’s Wisdom Unplugged quote. If you would like access to my database of over 10,000 inspirational quotes, the link is available on the main page of Wisdom-Trek.com. As you enjoy these nuggets of wisdom, encourage your friends and family to join us, and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.
